Set to take place on Sat., Sept. 23 and Sun., Sept. 24, The National Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) presented by Raising Cane’s will not only showcase fried chicken over those two days, but also local and regional musicians, including Big Freedia, Naughty Professor, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Sean Ardoin & the Zydekool, The Spirit of New Orleans Gospel Choir, Kristen Diable & The City, Motel Radio, and many more.

“With the addition of a second music stage, we’ve been able to create more opportunities for New Orleans musicians, while providing a greater diversity in entertainment for our guests,” said Cleveland Spears, III, FCF organizer and President/CEO of the Spears Group. “We are confident we have curated an entertainment line-up that will appeal to everyone from Millennials to baby boomers and locals as well as our visiting tourists.”

If you were able to get some fried chicken at last year’s Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) at Lafayette Square, then you were definitely one of the lucky ones. With attendance at 40,000 plus, everybody wanted them some chicken!

If you haven’t seen by now, this year’s Festival has moved to a bigger location (Woldenberg Park), spread itself over two days (Sept. 23 and 24), and added more vendors (almost ten total) to meet our dying need for fried chicken!

There’s no more Mardi Gras for another 365 days, but there’s still more #LoveIntheNOLA to share!

Kelly and Andrea Fiorella

With the best fried chicken in the city (as confirmed at last year’s Fried Chicken Festival), we at IntheNOLA make our way to The Original Fiorellas’ Café (5325 Franklin Ave.) in Gentilly at least once a week.

And where there is fried chicken, there’s got to be love! Andrea and Kelly Fiorella know all about that!
