Terrance and Stephanie Osborne open ‘Terrance Osborne Gallery’ on Magazine St.

Written by  IntheNOLA.com
In the past, we’ve had the immense pleasure of being able to interview local artist Terrance Osborne in his beautiful home.

And how would one know that you’ve arrived at his house (other than the address obviously)? While most New Orleanians just have a regular door that’s usually one color, the Osbornes’ front door just happens to be one of his actual paintings! Come on, how else are you supposed to walk into his house other than through his art literally?!

Once inside, you’re transported into a “World of Osborne” with Terrance’s amazing paintings…big ones, small ones, tall ones, large ones…paintings as high as the ceiling and others to hold in your hands.

Unfortunately, Terrance and his wife Stephanie couldn’t have everyone over to their house to marvel at their own personal gallery so they recently opened the Terrance Osborne Gallery (3029 Magazine St.) so that everyone can experience the beauty and magic of his paintings.

Many may wonder why Terrance and Stephanie hadn’t opened a gallery sooner, but for Terrance, family is of the utmost important. “I value my family life, so I didn’t want to open a gallery and be away from my family all the time,” he explained. “My youngest daughter is fourteen now and my kids are more independent. So it’s time!”

He continued, “All of the work in the gallery came from our home and even though we have a lot of space, my original paintings were still taking up more space than we wanted to, so it was either put them in storage or open an art gallery.”

And we speak for everyone when we say thank goodness they decided on the art gallery!

“We are a new gallery and there are a lot of things that we want to do to make the space reflective of my work,” Terrance noted. “Ultimately, I want the space to feel like one of my paintings. I want it to be clean, bold and have a feel good energy about it.  My wife Stephanie will also be holding meditation sessions in the gallery so it’s important that the gallery have a serene feel.”

If you’re out and about, be sure to check out the new Terrance Osborne Gallery!
