Summer music camp for children ages 6-17 at ‘Thibodeaux School of Music’ June-August

Written by
Our friends over at the Thibodeaux School of Music will be holding three music camps this summer in July, July, and August. Children ages 6-17 are welcome to enroll; no musical experience necessary!
Classes will take place at four locations on Freret St. and campers will walk throughout the day to each location. The locations are:
The Rook Cafe (4516 Freret St.)
Thibodeaux School of Music (2436 Valence St.)
Gasa Gasa (4920 Freret St.)
NOLA Comedy Club (5039 Freret St.)
Evans Playground for lunch and outdoor time (5112 Lasalle St.)
Students will take part in a wide array of musical classes. For June, classes include Recorder Karate, Music & Art, and Physics of Music. In July, look for World Drums, Musical Theatre, Improv, and Songwriting. And in the August session, classes are Improv, Recorder Karate, 20th Century Music History, and Physics of Music.
Cost for one session is $125; $225 for two sessions, and $325 for all three sessions. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per session is required to hold your spot. The balance is due by the first day of camp.
