Martini Madness at New Orleans City ParkWritten by InthekNOwla.com
(InthekNOwla) -- NEW ORLEANS | Usually, we at InthekNOwla aren’t huge fans of martinis, but we decided to make an exception since we knew that drinking these martinis were going to benefit City Park (yep, such a difficult decision to make).
So immediately upon arriving at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters in the Botanical Gardens for Martini Madness, we were each given our very own martini glass and then whisked away to the ensuing madness: food, martinis, music, martinis, photobooth, martinis, dancing, martinis, great scenery and people, and yep, you guessed it, martinis!
23 different kinds of martinis! Classic martinis, chocolate martinis, chocolate caramel martinis, cucumber martinis, tropical breeze martinis, apple-tinis, piña colada martinis, acai berry martinis, grape-tinis…and on…and on…and on…and on…we definitely lost count!
And thank god we had some food, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy as many martinis as we did! From Ralph’s on the Park to Copeland’s to Jezz’s Kitchen at Dorignac’s…strawberry cheesecake, deep-fried crabcakes, club sandwiches, hot bread pudding, portabello mushrooms, chicken tenders…and on…and on…and on…and on! And you were able to still stand after all the food and drink, DJ Matty and DJ Kristen of Mod Dance Party had us getting down old school style!
We wish City Park had a Martini Madness every month, every weekend for that matter! It can’t get any better to drink, eat, and dance to support a good cause…Lawd, we love New Orleans!
