Local bakery, Maple Street Patisserie, celebrates four years of sweet success

Written by  Maple Street Patisserie
Maple Street Patisserie is celebrating its Four Year Anniversary on Tuesday, April 22, with special deals and promotions for its loyal customers.

Maple Street Patisserie is ringing in its fourth year of business with a few sweet deals to treat the shop’s loyal customers. On its anniversary, Tuesday, April 22, customers at the Maple Street bakery will receive a free specialty cookie with their purchase. Any patron who visits that day can also register to win free 10” cake of the winner’s choice.

In addition to its anniversary deals, Maple Street Patisserie is delighted to announce the expansion of the brand with new concepts and locations as well as adding traditional style bagels (which will be available at all three retail locations by next month) to its long list of European style products. A new bistro concept is planned for Earhart Boulevard and will open later this month. Additionally, the bakery is moving its ever-expanding wholesale business to a 4,000-square-foot commissary. A third location with a new take on deli dining is also in the works for Magazine Street next month. More details will be publicized as the dates of openings approach.

“We are delighted to be able to celebrate four years in business here on Maple Street,” said Owner and Executive Chef Patricia-Ann Donohue. “We are so grateful for the support that we’ve received these great four years and we want to show our appreciation.”

“It has truly been a pleasure to share our passion for European-style pastries with our local community,” said Owner and Master Chef Ziggy Cichowski. “We greatly look forward to expanding to serve even more patrons and make our artisan baked goods more readily available for the public to enjoy.”

About Maple Street Patisserie
Founded in 2010 by Master Baker and Pastry Chef Ziggy Cichowski and Executive Chef Patricia-Ann Donohue, Maple Street Patisserie (MSP) specializes in handcrafted, delectable pastries to bring tastes of Europe to the New Orleans community. Both technically trained chefs were inspired by European bakeries and are dedicated to utilizing traditional staples of craftsmanship and only the highest quality ingredients. Each recipe was developed from Master Chef Ziggy’s apprenticeships throughout Europe in countries such as Austria, Italy, Germany, France and his homeland, Poland.

The old-world bakery specializes in flakey croissants, puff pastries, muffins, bread loafs and well as traditional-style bagels, which are available for breakfast or lunch along with fresh, artisan sandwiches. Consumers can also take home delicious infused oils, cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, jams and vinegars that the culinary duo bottles and sells.
