Calling all beer and animal lovers to the ‘NOLA on Tap Beer Festival’ benefiting the LASPCA, Sept. 24

Written by
Beer drinkers and animal lovers, this event's all for you! Over 400 local and national beers will be showcased at the seventh annual NOLA on Tap Beer Fest (the largest beer festival in the region) presented by The Bulldog and the Louisiana SPCA with all proceeds benefiting the LA/SPCA!
As people who have rescued their fair share of animals over the years, we couldn’t be happier to support a great cause like the LA/SPCA, “the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in the state providing a full range of services to the Greater New Orleans area, including adoptions, humane education and community outreach in addition to the region’s only high-volume affordable spay/neuter clinic.” Last year alone, the LA/SPCA cared for over 43,000 animals and did over 8,000 spay/neuters!

The work that the LA/SPCA does obviously can’t happen without the help of the community. Looking for a way to help? Well, you definitely can with the upcoming NOLA on Tap Beer Fest next Saturday, September 24. “It's a great chance to have fun while supporting an organization that is near and dear to many of us, including two-legged and four-legged friends!” said the LA/SPCA. “Plus you have a fantastic selection of beers as well as margaritas, wine, food, great live music by Daria & the Hip Drops, Stoop Kids, and Flow Tribe, and some awesome vendors. All that in a beautiful setting underneath the oak trees at City Park! The success of the event speaks for itself – thousands of guests will come out next Saturday to have a great time and feel good knowing they’re supporting a wonderful organization.”
With a menu of over 400 beers and plenty of food and sunshine, the NOLA on Tap Beer Fest promises to be a day of fun! Admission to NOLA on Tap is $5 and new this year is a completely cashless festival

“This year’s NOLA on Tap will be the first Fest in the state to use cashless payment technology wristbands to improve your festival-going experience with our currency called ‘Bocks’! When you arrive at NOLA on Tap, you’ll receive your personalized festival wristband to get into the festival faster – and it will also be used as your digital wallet to make purchases – all with a simple tap of your wristband at the vendor stands! The amount will automatically be deducted from your account – it’s quick and easy! This means you don’t have to worry about walking around the fest fumbling for your wallet or change; instead, enjoy fast, convenient and secure transactions at all food and drink vendors, and NOLA on Tap merchandise tents using your high-tech wristband.”
The LA/SPCA added, “Public transportation is encouraged since parking will be limited within City Park. We want to make sure everyone gets home safely. We’ll also have over 350 volunteers helping out at the event, and of course, we need volunteers year-round if anyone is ever interested in helping. It’s very rewarding work – the adopted dogs, the foster dogs, and the many animals that we socialize in our office are constant reminders of why we work so hard.”

The NOLA on Tap Beer Fest is family and pet friendly. Please no outside food and drinks. Come and enjoy live music, over 400 local and national beers, food, beer tasting contest, games, and giveaways in support of our four-legged friends and family!
