‘We Live to Eat: Louisiana Restaurant Week’ returns for fourth year

One of our favorite sayings is, “Only in New Orleans.”  Red beans and rice on Monday’s and fried seafood on Fridays…Only in New Orleans. Grocery stores selling out of alcohol during a hurricane…Only in New Orleans. Eating lunch while talking about what you gonna eat for dinner…Only in New Orleans.
Only in New Orleans do we find ourselves more concerned about living to eat rather than eating to live. And what better way to show our concern for this way of living than with the fourth annual We Live to Eat: Louisiana Restaurant Week courtesy of The Louisiana Restaurant Association’s (LRA) Greater New Orleans Chapter. From September 8-14, New Orleanians will be able to eat their way through some of the best restaurants in the city. Mr. B's, Drago's, Arnaud's, among several others (for a total of 50 restaurants), will be offering pre-fix lunch and dinner menus: $20 for a 2-course lunch and $35 for a 3-course dinner.
Restaurant Week is about the customers getting a great value and great food. It’s a way to explore the city and restaurants you don’t get to on a regular basis or even places you’ve never tried before,” said Sarah Peltier, Regional Director of the LRA’s Greater New Orleans Chapter. “It’s to get locals to dine out more often. After Katrina, things really slowed down during August and September for our restaurants, so we figured what a great way to get locals out and give them a deal.”
